67th SEASON

We are proud to present our programme for the coming year. We hope you will enjoy the season, where you will find a play for every taste, from laughs to thrills.
A Sherlock Carol(†)
by Mark Shanahan
4—13 December 2025
Moriarty is dead, and famous detective Sherlock
Holmes is feeling rather redundant, until he is
approached by a grown-up Tiny Tim to investigate the
suspicious circumstances of the death of a certain
Ebeneezer Scrooge.
After some persuasion, Holmes takes on the case
and the game is afoot.
Six actors playing multiple parts will certainly
delight any audience and provide a Christmas show
to remember
Mindgame(*) by Anthony Horowitz
29—31 January & 4—7 February 2026
A prominent author of novels and ‘true crime’
stories enters a secluded mental institution to in
terview a serial killer who has been confined
there for 30 years. The superintendent of the in
stitution does not want the interview to take
place and, in an effort to make the writer understand
what it means to be insane, restrains the
author in a straitjacket.
Then he pulls out a scalpel; he is the serial killer.
The inmates have taken over the asylum – or so
the audience thinks.
Bouncers(‡) by John Godber
16—25 April 2026
Join Lucky Eric, Ralph, Les and Judd as they take
the audience through a night at the disco in the
90s. Everyone’s there: the excitable DJ, the girls,
the boys, and the late-night video is ready to be
played. But what lurks beneath the glitter and the
empty beer glasses? Hilarious high energy and
very physical, the play has been performed and
studied all over the world. We invite you to join
us for a great night out with a banging 90s
soundtrack. Just remember ‘You gotta look cute
or you get the boot!’
Content warning: Strong language and adult
humour throughout.
God of Carnage(*) by Yazmina Reza
14 —23 May 2026
Set in real time over the course of one afternoon,
two couples sit down to discuss a fight
that occurred between their sons which resulted
in facial injuries. How can they resolve this?
What starts out civil slowly descends into
carnage, resentment and rage which clearly exposes
the cracks in their relationships.
Expressed with plenty of dark humour and subtext,
God of Carnage will let you into their lives,
and show how adults can sometimes act no
better than children.
